Kids First Pediatric Dentistry provides the highest quality of pediatric dental care in a comfortable and friendly environment. Drs. Tyler Carter and Randy Weinshel practice state-of-the-art dentistry and strive to achieve excellence through continuing education and building relationships. With active listening, patient education, and mutual respect the Doctors work individually with the children so they may experience the healthy smile they deserve. Drs. Carter and Weinshel truly care for every child the way they’d want their own children treated and enable each child to start out on their very own road to a lifetime of smiles. “Dr. Tyler" was raised in Mesa, Arizona. He graduated from Mesa High School, attended Arizona State University, and then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. Following dental school, he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where he completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at Sunrise Children’s Hospital through the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He has enjoyed the opportunity and experience of treating special needs children in both Romania and Uganda.

A native of Connecticut, "Dr. Randy" graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, Illinois. Following dental school, he served 3 years in the U.S. Army as a general dentist. During this time, he completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and served one year in Iraq. He then completed his two-year pediatric dentistry residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He remained at the residency to do an extensive fellowship in cleft lip/palate. Dr. Randy enjoys doing all aspects of pediatric dentistry and treating children with craniofacial abnormalities and those with special needs. He also serves as a pediatric dental consultant on the Barrow Craniofacial Team, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Both Drs. Tyler and Randy are Diplomats (Board Certified) of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. They are also members of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the Arizona Dental Association. Both doctors also provide dental services through Children’s Rehabilitative Services.
